Description
Crispy, golden fries packed with the irresistible combination of garlic and Parmesan, made healthier and easier in an air fryer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Handful of fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Wash and peel (optional) 2 large russet potatoes. Cut them into 1/4-inch thick strips for classic fries or thinner for shoestring fries.
- Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- In a large bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Spread the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even crisping.
- While the fries cook, mix grated Parmesan, minced garlic, and chopped parsley in a bowl.
- Once the fries are golden and crispy, transfer them to a large bowl and toss with the garlic Parmesan mixture while still hot.
- Plate the fries, garnish with extra Parmesan and parsley, and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For extra crispiness, don’t skip the soaking step. Work in batches to avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. Use fresh Parmesan for the best flavor.
