Homemade Creamy Garlic Parmesan Gnocchi

  • Author: David

  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Soft, pillowy gnocchi coated in a luscious, garlicky Parmesan sauce—comfort food at its finest.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb potato gnocchi (homemade or store-bought)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions or until they float to the surface if homemade. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For the best results, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese and fresh garlic. Store-bought gnocchi works well for convenience, but homemade gnocchi elevates the dish.
