Description
A sweet, smoky, and spicy cranberry chipotle hot sauce perfect for holiday meals. Use it as a glaze, dip, or marinade to elevate your dishes.

- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 2–3 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Rinse the cranberries under cold water and drain them well.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped onion, sauté for 3-4 minutes until fragrant and softened.
- Add cranberries, chipotle peppers, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, orange juice, and water to the saucepan. Stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once cranberries have softened and burst, remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
- Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth, adjusting consistency with additional water if needed.
- Season the sauce with salt to taste and blend again for a few seconds.
- Pour the sauce into sterilized jars or containers. Serve immediately or store for later.
