Description
These Cinnamon Sugar Banana Bites are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated in a heavenly mix of cinnamon and sugar. Perfect as a quick, sweet snack or a treat for the kids.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe but firm bananas
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons butter or oil for frying
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and slice them into thick coins, about 1/2 inch thick.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Stir until evenly mixed.
- Lightly coat each banana slice with all-purpose flour. Shake off any excess flour.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter or heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Wait until it’s hot but not smoking.
- Place the banana slices in the pan in a single layer. Fry for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Use a spatula to flip them carefully.
- Immediately transfer the fried banana slices to the cinnamon-sugar bowl. Toss gently to coat each piece evenly.
- Let the banana bites rest on a paper towel for 1-2 minutes to drain any excess oil.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Don’t overcrowd the pan to ensure even cooking. Keep the heat consistent to avoid burning or sogginess. Use a light hand when flipping the bananas as they are delicate.
