- 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 1 jar (15 oz) Alfredo sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine Alfredo sauce, sour cream, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese. Stir until smooth.
- Fold the shredded or diced cooked chicken into the sauce mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Pour the chicken and sauce mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the chicken mixture in a single layer.
- Sprinkle the remaining cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the tater tots.
- Bake the casserole for 40-45 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
