Description
A creamy, fragrant milkshake combining the floral notes of lavender with the comforting aroma of Earl Grey tea. Perfect for tea lovers and easy to make at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk (or almond/oat milk for dairy-free)
- 2 Earl Grey tea bags or 2 tsp loose-leaf Earl Grey tea
- 1 tsp culinary lavender buds
- 2 cups (300 g) vanilla ice cream
- 2 tbsp honey or sugar
- Optional whipped cream for garnish
- Optional lavender syrup (1-2 tsp)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup (240 ml) of milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling. Add 2 Earl Grey tea bags (or 2 tsp of loose-leaf tea) and 1 tsp of culinary lavender buds. Let steep for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Use a fine mesh strainer to remove the tea and lavender. Let the infused milk cool completely.
- In a blender, combine the cooled infused milk, 2 cups (300 g) of vanilla ice cream, and 2 tbsp of honey or sugar. Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- If desired, add 1-2 tsp of lavender syrup for a stronger lavender flavor and blend again.
- Pour into glasses or mason jars. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of lavender buds for garnish.
Notes
[‘Ensure the milk cools completely before blending to avoid melting the ice cream.’, ‘Start with a small amount of lavender and adjust to taste to avoid overpowering the flavor.’, ‘Pulse the blender in short bursts to control the texture.’, ‘Honey adds depth to the sweetness, but sugar or agave syrup can be used as substitutes.’]
