Description
A rich and indulgent dessert combining fudgy brownies with creamy cheesecake swirls, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (175g) semisweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup (95g) all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
- 8 oz (225g) cream cheese
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a heatproof bowl, combine semisweet chocolate and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together granulated sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.
- Slowly pour the melted chocolate into the sugar mixture, whisking continuously. Add all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt, folding until just combined.
- In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour half the brownie batter into the pan, then gently spread the cheesecake mixture on top. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter over the cheesecake layer and swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
- Let the brownies cool completely before slicing. Refrigerate for an hour for cleaner cuts.
Notes
Use room temperature cream cheese and eggs for a smoother batter. Avoid overmixing the brownie batter to prevent dense brownies. Chill the brownies before slicing for cleaner cuts.
