- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup (30g) powdered sugar
- 1–2 teaspoons milk
- Optional: egg wash for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 4 oz softened cream cheese, 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Carefully unroll the crescent dough and separate the triangles. Lay them flat on your parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Using a small spatula, spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture onto each triangle, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Starting at the wide end, roll each triangle tightly toward the tip. Place them seam-side down on the baking sheet.
- Optional: Brush the tops with beaten egg for extra golden finish.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While baking, make the glaze by whisking together 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 1-2 teaspoons milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm crescent rolls. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Don’t overfill the crescents to prevent bursting while baking. If the dough gets too soft, chill for 5 minutes. Fresh cinnamon makes a big difference in flavor. Adjust glaze consistency with milk as needed.
