Description
These fluffy air fryer cinnamon donut holes are quick, easy, and mess-free, offering a healthier alternative to deep-fried donuts with the same delicious taste.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons (25g) granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup (180ml) milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, egg, and melted butter until combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until a soft dough forms. Avoid overmixing—it should be slightly sticky but not runny.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, portion out small balls of dough, about 1 tablespoon each.
- Place the dough balls in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each one. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
- While the donut holes are warm, roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
Notes
For best results, use room-temperature ingredients and avoid overcrowding the air fryer. Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model.
