Description
A creamy, savory dip featuring ranch seasoning, sausage, and cheese, perfect for parties, game days, or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground sausage (spicy, mild, or turkey sausage)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 packet ranch seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
- 1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes and green chilies
- Optional garnishes: fresh parsley or chopped green onions
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles. Drain excess grease and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch seasoning. Stir until smooth and well-blended.
- Fold the cooked sausage, shredded cheese, and diced tomatoes with green chilies into the cream cheese mixture. Mix until evenly combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a 9×9 baking dish and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle extra shredded cheese on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbling and the top is lightly browned.
- Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, garnish with parsley or green onions if desired, and serve warm with your favorite dippers.
Notes
For best results, use freshly shredded cheese for smoother melting. Adjust spice level by using spicy sausage or adding cayenne pepper. Keep the dip warm in a crockpot for parties.
