Ingredients
- 1 cup (100g) fresh cranberries
- 2 tablespoons (30g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (90°C).
- Wash 1 cup (100g) of fresh cranberries and pat them dry thoroughly with a clean kitchen towel.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and evenly spread out the cranberries. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even drying.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and let the cranberries dry for about 2 hours. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and ensure even drying.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the cranberries to cool to room temperature.
- Transfer the dried cranberries to a food processor or blender. Add 2 tablespoons (30g) of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of lemon zest, ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Pulse until the mixture becomes a fine, powdery dust.
- Transfer the cranberry dust to an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place for up to 2 weeks.
