Description
Indulgently creamy dessert with smoky bourbon and natural maple sweetness, perfect for parties or cozy evenings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons gelatin
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- Chocolate coating (optional)
Instructions
- Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of gelatin over 2 tablespoons of cold water in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, combine 1/4 cup maple syrup and 2 tablespoons bourbon. Gently heat over low until warm, then stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat 8 ounces of softened cream cheese with 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whip 1/2 cup heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
- Gradually pour the maple-bourbon mixture into the cream base, folding gently to combine. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
- Spoon the mixture into silicone sphere molds, smoothing the tops for a clean finish.
- Refrigerate for at least 4-6 hours, or until the spheres are set and firm.
- Optional: Melt your favorite chocolate and dip each sphere for a glossy finish. Let the coating harden before serving.
