Pumpkin Spice Amaro Recipe – Perfect Fall Cocktail

  • Author: David
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A cozy and indulgent fall cocktail combining the warming spices of pumpkin pie with the smooth complexity of amaro.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz (60 ml) amaro (e.g., Averna or Montenegro)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) pumpkin spice syrup (homemade or store-bought)
  • ½ oz (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 egg white (optional, or use aquafaba for vegan option)
  • Ice
  • Nutmeg or cinnamon for garnish

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing your cocktail shaker. Add ice to fill about halfway.
  2. Measure and pour 2 oz (60 ml) of amaro into the shaker.
  3. Add 1 oz (30 ml) of pumpkin spice syrup. If you’re using homemade syrup, make sure it’s cooled to room temperature.
  4. Squeeze ½ oz (15 ml) of fresh lemon juice and add it to the shaker.
  5. Optional: Separate an egg white and add it to the shaker for frothiness. (Use aquafaba for a vegan alternative.)
  6. Seal the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to combine the ingredients and chill the cocktail.
  7. Strain the mixture into your chosen glass using a Hawthorne strainer. If you’ve added egg white, you should see a frothy top layer.
  8. Grate fresh nutmeg or sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon on top for garnish.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy your luxurious Pumpkin Spice Amaro cocktail!

Notes

[‘Shake thoroughly with egg white to create a velvety foam.’, ‘Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.’, “Thin homemade pumpkin spice syrup with water if it’s too thick.”, ‘Chill your glass before pouring the cocktail for a better experience.’, “Don’t skip the garnish for added aroma and presentation.”]
