A refreshing summer mocktail made with sweet strawberries, fragrant basil, and zesty lime juice. Perfect for staying hydrated during hot days or serving at gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (150g) fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
- 8–10 fresh basil leaves
- Juice of 2 limes (about 1/4 cup or 60ml)
- 2–3 tablespoons honey or preferred sweetener
- 2 cups (500ml) club soda
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Wash and hull 1 cup (about 150g) of fresh strawberries. Slice them in half for easier blending.
- In a blender, combine the strawberries, 8-10 fresh basil leaves, and the juice of 2 limes (about 1/4 cup or 60ml). Blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher to remove pulp and seeds. Use a spoon to press down and extract as much liquid as possible.
- Stir in 2-3 tablespoons of honey (or your preferred sweetener) until fully dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.
- Transfer the mixture to a pitcher and top with 2 cups (500ml) of club soda. Stir gently to combine.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the cooler into each glass, and garnish with a basil sprig and strawberry slice.
Notes
For a smoother drink, don’t skip the straining step. Adjust sweetness based on the ripeness of your strawberries. Chill glasses before serving for an extra refreshing experience.
