Description
Crispy, golden-brown dough wrapped around gooey cheese and savory pepperoni, infused with Italian herbs. Perfect for parties, game nights, or a cheesy snack.
Ingredients
- Pizza Dough (fresh or store-bought)
- Pepperoni slices
- Shredded Mozzarella cheese
- Pizza Sauce (good-quality marinara or pizza sauce)
- Italian Seasoning (oregano and basil)
- Olive Oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, approximately 12×8 inches (30×20 cm).
- Using a spoon, spread a thin layer of pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch (2.5 cm) border around the edges.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce, followed by pepperoni slices and a pinch of Italian seasoning.
- Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the seam to seal.
- Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick pieces. You should get about 10-12 pinwheels.
- Place the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up. Brush the tops lightly with olive oil.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pinwheels are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- Let the pinwheels cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy them warm for the best flavor!
Notes
Avoid overfilling with sauce or cheese to prevent soggy pinwheels. Chill the dough if it’s too soft to roll. Use parchment paper for easy cleanup.
