Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough (or pizza dough/puff pastry)
- 4 tablespoons (60g) unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or cheese blend)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- Optional: red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Remove from heat.
- Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into individual triangles.
- Sprinkle a generous amount of cheese over each triangle, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Starting at the wide end, roll each triangle tightly into a crescent shape. Place seam side down on prepared baking sheet.
- Use a pastry brush to coat each rollup with the garlic butter mixture, making sure to get into all nooks and crannies.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and a pinch of salt before serving.
Notes
Don’t overfill with cheese to prevent bursting during baking. Use cold dough for easier handling. These can be assembled ahead and refrigerated until ready to bake. Best served warm when cheese is still gooey.
